Cultural Narrative:
I had the pleasure of interviewing Carmen Cabrera, who is the daughter of the owner and has worked at Alejandro's since her mother bought the restaurant in 2005. Carmen and her siblings were born and raised on Tucson. Her mom is from Guadalajara, Jalisco and her dad is from Culiacán, Sinaloa. She said the food at Alejandro's is a blend of Jalisco and Sonora, where her mom first worked in a restaurant. All of the food at Alejandro's comes from family recipes.
