Valle Luna

The original Arizona location, the Northwest Valley location at 3336 W. Bell Rd in Phoenix is the first of what would become three locations established by Tia Rita, the family matriarch, beginning in 1983.
Cultural Narrative: 

Tia Rita brought Sonoran food first to Upstate New York in the mid-1970's making a name for herself being named "Best of Syracuse" before coming to the Phoenix are in the early 1980's. Beginning with the Northwest Valley location and eventually adding two additional valley locations to the mix, Tia found continued success in Arizona. After her passing in 2008, Valle Luna was named "Best of Phoenix" by the New Times Magazine. The restaurant has stayed within the family, with the popular staffer "G-Mom" having served generations of families since the beginning.
